PAST EVENT

Sunday 25th of July 2010 - Timed Autotest

Your Motorsport Team has put together another incredible value for money event at the RAC Centre on Sunday morning 25th June running on one of the skid pans.

This is not a round of our autotest series so no pressure and a great way to learn or just throw the car around and have some fun.

The cost will be confirmed once we have an idea of numbers but should be in the $35 - $45 range. Entries are limited and we expect places to fill up fast. Entries will be allocated on a first in basis and full payment must be made by Electronic Funds Transfer ($25 surcharge will apply for late payments). Payment details will be emailed through in a week to confirmed entrants.

Cars can be shared between a maximum of 2 drivers.

What you Need to Bring

  • AASA club competition licence ($50 for 12 months)

  • Valid Driver’s Licence, bring it with you as it will be checked at sign on.

  • Long sleeved shirt, long pants (cotton or wool clothing only, no synthetic materials) and enclosed shoes

  • A motorcycle or motor racing helmet, in good condition, no big scratches, dents or chips. Helmet must have AS1698 certification sticker (all locally bought motorcycle helmets should have this), or other certification as described in the CAMS Manual of Motorsport.

  • Water, Snacks and (hopefully) Sun Protection.

Please ensure you comply with the above, as you will not be able to take part if you turn up on the day unprepared.
Do not risk being left out just because you thought a short sleeve T-shirt, shorts and thongs are more comfortable.

Before the Event
  • Check your oil level is up to the full mark - oil starvation when cornering is an engine killer.

  • Check all other fluids including brake and clutch fluid and coolant.

  • Check tyre pressures, a few more pounds of pressure over what you would usually run won’t hurt.

  • Check brake pads have plenty of life left.

  • Remove all the junk from your car to avoid doing it on the day.

  • If you need to borrow a helmet – DO SO BEFORE THE EVENT, I will not be bringing spare helmets on the day.

Entrants must be there by 7:45am and we would love to have at least two volunteers on the day to help out (please email motorsport@MX5club.com.au if you can help).

If you do not have your AASA club competition licence number yet, put 'TBC' in that section of the entry form. If you do not receive your licence before the day then it may be necessary to provide a copy of your application form and proof of payment on the day of the competition. CAMS L2NS licences are also accepted.

All entrants - please complete the attached entry form, scan and email it to motorsport@mx5club.com.au asap, Last entries will be close on the Friday a week before the event.
Important: main entrant/driver 1 must sign both the entrant and driver sections (i.e. two signatures required).

Late entries will be accepted at the discretion of the Motorsport Manager. A $25 late entry fee will always apply, all payments are non-refundable.

EFT is the preferred method of payment. It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that acknowledged payment is received in the club account prior to the event (generally this means that the entrant makes the transfer no later than 3 days before the end of a business week).

Cash and cheque payment will be accepted at the Treasurer’s discretion. An extra $10 fee will apply to cash and checque payments and to payment not received before the event.

Entrants must acknowledge that late cancellation affects the running of the event and the organisers must acknowledge that some registrants may have due cause to cancel. In the event of a cancellation or no-show a $10 penalty fee may be imposed at the discretion of the Motorsport Manager, applied to the credit if the entrant had paid, or to the next entrance fee if the entrant had not paid.

Club members have priority as per normal if places fill up quickly.

If you do not have your AASA club competition licence number yet, put 'TBC' in that section of the entry form. If you do not receive your licence before the day then it may be necessary to provide a copy of your application form and proof of payment on the day of the competition. CAMS L2NS licences are also accepted.
