PAST EVENT

Sunday 5th of August 2018 - Monthly Cruise - The Barry Carter Memorial Observation Rally

Our colleague and friend Barry Carter unfortunately lost his battle with cancer this month. In Barry's memory, we will be collecting for one of Barry's favourite charities - The Black Dog Institute. Therefore we respectfully ask that all participants make a donation on the day of a blue, red or yellow Aussie banknote per car to secure their set of cruise instructions and questions.

Event organiser Paul Andriessen will no doubt have his usual collections of devious questions and instructions to challenge your grey matter. There will be prizes to reward the winners.

It would be appreciated if you could indicate your intention to attend to events@mx5club.com.au so that we can produce sufficient cruise notes. As this is a special event, even if you don't usually attend the cruises give it a try, and help a worthy charity whilst having great fun.

Please don’t be afraid to join in if you’re not the best at reading maps, because you won’t need a map at all. Just follow very simple route instructions, and you’ll make it to the end destination.

It is desirable to bring a navigator so that you can find the answers to some questions along the way, whilst the driver can concentrate on the road. If you don’t want to answer the questions, please feel free to come along for the drive, and support The Black Dog Institute.

We’ll end up at a park in the Rockingham area for a BYO everything lunch.

You will need a pen, and a chair or picnic rug.

If it rains, we still will run the event, but will bypass the lunch stop.
If that’s the case, you just hand in your sheet with answers at the end, and
the results will be publicised on line or / and in our next [brilliantly presented] MX Press magazine.

Hope to see you all there!

We meet at the Cockburn Gate Shopping Centre in the car park near the Gate Bar & Bistro (Click here to view a map) at 9:00. Briefing will be 9:30am with a staggered departure.
