PAST EVENT

Sunday 2nd of September 2018 - Sunday Country Cruise - Wildflower Run to Moora

THIS IS AN RSVP EVENT

Lucy and Steve Harris are taking us on a 370 km drive to Moora to enjoy the wildflowers. The outward leg to Moora is approximately 200km with one regrouping / loo stop. The return journey to Perth is approximately 170 km, depending on where you live.

We meet in the car park of the Checkers Hotel in Bullsbrook at 8:30 and depart 9 am sharp.

We have lunch at the Drovers Inn country pub in Moora; it’s a substantial double storey brick building with top floor verandahs and ground floor colonnades along two street frontages and a corrugated iron roof. First licensed in 1908 it was the center for trade and commerce in Moora, with many sales and representatives using the hotel as a base. The builder; Liebe has the distinction of being the world's largest individual wheat grower at the time. He also constructed His Majesty's Theatre in Perth, the original Moora railway Station and other stations along the line.

20th July:

Chris, the Landlord, advises that on Sundays they do a 'T-Bone Special' with chips & salad for $ 19.50, as well as other pub menu items.

Please RSVP by email to social@mx5club.com.au before Friday 24th August so we can finalise the lunch booking at the Drovers Inn and know who should be at the meeting point before we depart.
