MX-5 NEWS

26/07/03 - Truck Racing Wanneroo

At the Wanneroo Supertruck Races I managed to catch up with Bevan Anderson who races a NA MX-5. When i first met Bevan he'd imported a stock MX-5 from Japan to race in the GTP class, unfortunately not many other people entered in this category so Bevan when back to the drawing boards and bank book and fitted an AVO turbo kit.

The car is sporting many modifications to suit it for racing including a locally made front air dam spoiler and rear carbon fiber spoiler. He still runs the stock brake calipers with Hawk pads.

I thank Bevan for spending the time to chat with me and let us take some photos of the car. He's very keen on joining the club and throwing their MX-5 around a few hill climbs. I'm sure many other members would be keen to see the modification Bevan has made and to chat to him about what it's like to race an MX-5.
