PAST EVENT

Sunday 7th of April 2019 - Monthly Cruise - Gravity Centre Gingin

RSVP EVENT

Alan Wallace will lead us on a stellar (pun intended) 150km drive to the Gravity Discovery Centre near Gingin.

We meet at Ginger's Roadhouse on the Great Northern Hwy, Upper Swan, at 0900 for a 0930 lift-off.

The drive will take us through the Chittering Valley to Bindoon where there will be a coffee break at the Bindoon Bakehaus before we continue to the Gravity Discovery Centre.

At the GDC we will have a BYO picnic lunch before we commence a guided tour of the Centre at 1300. There is a BBQ for those who'd like to cook something to eat. The Centre also has a cafe serving lunches and light meals.

The cost of the tour is $14 pp payable on the day.

We need to advise the GDC of the expected numbers so that they can arrange for sufficient guides.

Therefore, can you please RSVP with numbers to Alan Wallace at mx5ndevents@gmail.com before 14th March if you intent to go on the guided tour.

People who don't RSVP can still enjoy the cruise and access the displays at the GDC but the cost of admission will be $20 pp, and this would be self-guided.

The Gravity Discovery Centre is a not-for-profit award winning tourist destination. Set in stunning bushland, it provides exciting science experiences for families, children and tourists. Whatever your age there are so many hands-on exhibits and displays for you to enjoy! Test gravity by dropping water balloons from the 45 metre leaning tower! See a giant slinky in action and watch rockets launched. The Cosmology Gallery is host to stunning art and the timeline of our Universe. Test your weight on different planets and walk along the scaled solar system. In addition, The Gravity Centre is Western Australia's only interactive Astronomy and Science Park which allows you to get up close with the latest science discoveries including the Square Kilometre Array.
