11/05/20 - Social Distancing Update - “Back on the Road”

On Sunday 10 May the WA Government announced its four-phase roadmap to carefully ease COVID-19 restrictions.

From Monday 18 May, indoor and outdoor non-work gatherings are relaxed to allow a maximum of 20 people whilst adhering to the 4sqm rule, practising social distancing and good hygiene. We are allowed to leave our homes for non-contact recreational activities which means we are now able to restart club social events.

It’s been 6 weeks since we suspended all events on March 27; it’s time to Clear the COVID Cobwebs!

As we will still be limited to 20 people attending please RSVP for both yourself and your co-driver prior to attending a cruise. The first 20 people that RSVP can attend. You will will be notified if you made the cut or not. If there is significant over subscription for a cruise we plan to run it multiple times so people don’t have to miss out.

If you plan to come on a cruise please bring your own hand sanitiser and an umbrella so that if it rains at the start point, a regroup point or at the end of a cruise we don't end up all trying to huddle under the one umbrella, or under small sheltered area, and are able to maintain one and a half metre social distance.

We respectfully request that anyone who is feeling ill, or has been in contact with someone feeling ill in the recent past, please excuse themselves from attending any of the Club events.

Keep an eye on the Club Website for event details, put those events you don't want to miss in your diary and get your RSVP's in early as it helps the organisers in planning the events!

Stay safe.
