CANCELLED - Big Al's Poker Run
Cut-off date for Australian vehicles introduced for the 2008 Big Al’s Poker Run
After much deliberation, the organising committee of Big Al’s Poker Run have decided to limit entries of future events to cars manufactured in Australia prior to January 1st, 1978. This cut-off date will also include Japanese and European cars, while cars of US manufacture will not be restricted.
THIS RULES OUT THE MX-5!
First held in 1981, Big Al's Poker Run has become one of Perth's most well known hot rod events. In the past 27 years, the Poker Run has grown from an initial entrant number of 52 in 1981 to a record 850 for its 21st celebration run in 2001. Whilst based around hot rods and vehicles of American origin, other car clubs add a colourful diversity to the event.
