17/08/07 - Club Members Of The Year

Congratulations to the 2006-2007 Club Members of the Year Aart ter Kuile and Alan Wallace.

No, they weren't selected alphabetically; voting was so close this year that I had to ask for a second nomination from the club's committee because I had 7 different people nominated for this award. Thank you to everyone in the club who has contributed so much, while it's nice to select a Member Of The Year, all your hard work has been much appreciated.

Aart has made a fantastic contribution since joining our club. He put his hand up to assist the Social Coordinator Gary Wotzko and has run several very successful events. True testament to Aarts willingness to give generously; as a welcome gesture to the new Mazda State Manager Phil Crump, Aart literally gave him the shirt off his own back.

Alan has spent countless hours this year attending meetings and reviewing the club constitution so that we meet all the requirements of being an incorporated non-profit business. He has also worked tirelessly as club treasurer, investing the clubs savings and working with the up most professionalism to make sure that his reports to the committee were before schedule and his draft budget has helped plan for the next club year.
