Sunday 7th of April 2024 - Monthly Cruise - Williams Campdraft

Get your flano's out and join Simon Corston on a 177 km run to the Williams Campdraft.

Campdrafting is uniquely Australian and involves a horse and rider working cattle. A rider on horseback must "cut out" a beast from the mob of cattle in the yard or "camp" and block and turn that beast at least two or three times to prove to the judge that they have it under control; then take it out of the yard and work or “draft” it through a course involving right and left hand turns in a figure eight, before guiding it through "the gate".

There is one regroup at a nice artisan bakery cleverly disguised as the Riverside Roadhouse.

We meet at the Gosnells Civic Centre located between Albany Highway and Mills Road West in the parking area near Mills Road West (Click here to view a map) at 9:00 and depart 9:30am sharp.

The cruise notes are available to members by email so you can load them into your GPS. If you would like a set before the run, please click this Cruise Notes Request Link
